Explanation of Sliding Scale

Money should not be the determining factor of who has access to quality care and who doesn’t. We experience a

wide gap in being able to afford care for our animals in

the way we ideally want to care for them. But that gap lessens, and we unite, in the

the equal love we feel for the animals in our care.

I would like to level the playing field by providing more access to all of us who

want the best care for our animals.

I’m not asking you for financial records, nor am I a non-profit organization receiving funding. I simply trust you, and I

believe you value trust as much as I do. Trust is really quite magical between people. It the end, it’s really not about

the money, but rather, the decisions we make as humans and how we value each other. Let’s set new standards

for the way businesses are run, one healing animal at a time.

Where do you fall in the spectrum?

The Highest Cost: If you are financially secure, own property or have financial savings, are able to pay for the “wants”

and spend little time worrying about paying for the necessities, you have economic security right now,

and this price is for you.

The Middle Cost: You don’t feel like you fit into The Highest Cost nor The Lowest Cost. If you are struggling with

paying some debt or trying to build a savings, and you don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the basic needs like

food, shelter, healthcare, child care, etc., this price range is for you.

The Lowest Cost: If you find it difficult to meet very basic needs, living paycheck-to-paycheck, and you are in

overwhelming debt, you are experiencing hardship right now, and this price is for you.

No matter where you fall on the spectrum, I commit to giving you and your animals, without hesitation, equal care and

Spirit.

FILL IN STUFF FROM THE GRAPHIC, BUT NOT TOO MUCH. TRY TO PUT MYSELF IN THE READER’S MINDS.

Things I cut:

All of us are comprised of various scales access through gender, race, privilege, and many other

identities that allow us a lot of, or too little, access to money, services, education, healthcare, etc.

Mahatma Gandhi: Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

Offering a sliding scale, for me, makes me feel in line and in harmony with myself, and therefore I feel like I can do

my job better, live my life better.

Alternative: My language! Many people don’t have access to funds for many reasons outside of their own control,

but we are all equal in our love for our animals. I want to help spread care equally and provide opportunities for all

pet owners.

I like to spend money on people.

I like to tip a lot, give gifts, and spend money kind of blindly on those

I love,

because people, over things, through that thin wall of skin, tenderly offer their passions, talents,

experiences, knowledge, and love.

I have a hard time charging a set rate

for that reason, since the work I do is all of that—my deep passion, my gift. I don’t want that gift to

be directly intentioned with money.

All of us care for our animals equally

and beautifully in our own

ways, and vulnerable, dependent animals in our care deserve all the love we can give them, and more.

But some of us with big hearts have relatively small pocketbooks.

So let love rule, not money!

Please honorably

pay, within the survival range I’ve set out, what you feel reflects my gift to you and your animals, and your means.

This range also includes prep time, travel fees, and the post-session time in writing up your reports.

Know that no matter what you pay, your animals will always receive the most intuitive and loving care from me.

Let’s start the healing process now.

Love,

Charisse. (add signature)
